Prepare delivery
Write captions and metadata
- Select the file you want to caption and open the Metadata Editor.
- Write or review the Caption/Description, Headline, Creator, Credit, Keywords, and location fields relevant to your delivery.
- Check names, dates, locations, rights, and every factual claim.
- Save metadata, then reopen the file’s metadata to check the saved values.
Work on a batch carefully
Select only files that should receive the same information before applying a template or batch change. Review the selected files and fields before saving; a caption for one photograph may not fit the others.
IPTC/XMP behavior depends on the file format and workflow. Keep existing sidecars with the files that use them. Verify the metadata in exported files before delivery.
Optional metadata preparation
Bulk Metadata Injector is an optional plugin. If your beta includes it, open Metadata Prep after enabling the plugin. Its destination profiles support preparation and review; they do not confirm an agency has accepted a submission.
