Use Grader Browser Pro for rubric and visual feedback

Grader Browser Pro is an optional faculty workflow. Use the appropriate licensed build and locally available student work. Institutional LMS use requires the school's approved configuration; a local rubric is not proof of a working LMS deployment.

Prepare and grade

  1. Enable/open the included Grader Browser Pro workflow.
  2. Create a rubric in the rubric builder or import its supported CSV format. Review criteria, point values, and total before grading.
  3. Import/select the relevant local submissions and confirm the student/assignment match. Use the supported roster/assignment CSV tools when preparing repeatable class work.
  4. Inspect each photograph. Enter scores and comments against the intended criterion. Use Quick Critique or Visual Critique for pinpoint comments, pen/arrows, and linked visual feedback.
  5. Use reusable critique phrases only after checking that they accurately describe this image. Review any dictated/transcribed feedback before saving.
  6. Save and inspect the submission's grading state. Navigate away and reopen the record to confirm the intended rubric and feedback.
  7. Export or deliver feedback using the workflow the student can open. Test a small example before distributing a full class set.

Metadata feedback and records

Local grading records are retained in the plugin's database. Professor Comments can use compatible IPTC/XMP Special Instructions with pending/saved/failed acknowledgement. Saving a local grade and writing feedback to a file are separate results. Overall audio feedback and transcripts also need their own saved-state check.

Optional annotation Save/Load in core Draw belongs to the Grader plugin, while core drawing itself is available independently. A core Critique Binder is a different image-free revision format. Choose the handoff intentionally.

LMS passback

Use the explicit supported Moodle-first LTI grade-send workflow only after the institution has configured and approved it. Confirm the displayed student/course/assignment and then inspect the LMS result. Local saved grades are not automatically sent. Blackboard and other provider-specific workflows must not be assumed from a general LMS label.

Verify and recover

Use disposable class examples to test rubric totals, file feedback, export reopening, and any staged LMS passback. If a send or metadata write fails, retain the local record and investigate the exact result before retrying. Never infer receipt from a closed dialog. See Student transmission, Critique Binders, and Review backups.
