Export a Selection Set as HTML or PowerPoint
Slideshow Studio turns an ordered Selection Set into a presentation. You need the local source images, captions you are ready to show, and a destination folder. It is available through the set workflow; optional plugin exporters appear only when contributed by loaded plugins.
Build the presentation
- Open your Selection Set and choose Slideshow Studio.
- Drag slides in the rail into the intended order. Confirm that the sequence supports your story or teaching purpose.
- Choose Add Text Slide for a title, section break, credits, or instructions.
- Select each slide and edit its text or caption overlay. Review spelling and image identity.
- Set the typeface, background, text color, and available caption/technical-data choices. Preview several image shapes rather than assuming one layout fits all.
- Choose Export ZIP for a self-contained HTML slideshow, or Export PPTX for PowerPoint.
Choose the output
The HTML ZIP includes index.html, image assets, and a manifest. Extract the ZIP before opening the slideshow; keep the assets together. In the exported slideshow, use arrows to navigate, F for fullscreen, and C to toggle captions where provided.
The PowerPoint output is a .pptx deck. ImageBrowserPro creates the file directly. The optional Teaching Pair layout follows each image with a technical-review slide containing a smaller photograph, available camera/exposure data, and editable student reflection. Missing technical values are labeled unavailable, not inferred.
Check the exported presentation
Open the actual ZIP contents or PowerPoint file outside the editor. Confirm slide count/order, image orientation, text, captions, and missing-image warnings. Test on the intended display before class or a client presentation. A preview in IBP does not prove that every font or display renders identically elsewhere.
Saved data and troubleshooting
The source set references remain separate from the exported presentation files. Export does not automatically publish the deck online. If images are missing, reconnect the source drive or relink the set and export again to a distinct destination. If a plugin exporter is absent, check its inclusion and activation rather than assuming the core export failed. For live projection without a deck, use Presenter Mode. For handwritten visual discussion, use Draw.
